Rate Changes Effective May 1To meet growing demand and to continue our investments in infrastructure, the Maryland Public Service Commission recently approved modest increases to our monthly delivery service charges and other fees. These changes are effective with this month’s bill.
While we realize cost increases are never welcome news, the delivery service charge allows us to maintain our safe and reliable infrastructure and ensure quality service – and is the first such increase for Elkton Gas in 16 years.
Outlined below, the average customer is expected to experience a less than three percent increase in his monthly bill as a result of these billing changes.

Effective July 1, 2008 -- Revenue Normalization Adjustment (RNA)
This new rate factor is included within the distribution charge component of our residential and commercial heating customers’ bills. The distribution charge is the volumetric charge for delivering gas. RNA will assist in promoting conservation as it reduces the impact of changes in consumption on Elkton Gas and its customers.
