AGL Resources Names Robert Duvall Vice President and General Manager, Virginia and Maryland Operations February 14, 2005
ATLANTA, Ga. – February 14, 2005 – Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE:ATG), parent company of Virginia Natural Gas (VNG), Virginia Gas and Elkton Gas, has named Robert Duvall, vice president and general manager, Virginia and Maryland Operations.
In his new position, Duvall will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the three utility subsidiaries in Virginia and Maryland that are part of AGL Resources’ Mid-Atlantic Region.
“We’re thrilled to have Robert lend his expertise to our Mid-Atlantic operations,” said Hank Linginfelter, senior vice president of AGL Resources Mid-Atlantic Operations. “Robert’s more than 20-years of experience with the company give him the tools and knowledge to integrate and optimize our facilities and people.”
Prior to this move, Duvall served as managing director of Field Operations at Atlanta Gas Light (AGL), another AGL Resources subsidiary. In that position, he was responsible for the AGL’s 1,500-mile natural gas distribution pipeline system and management of field services in Georgia.
Duvall’s career at AGL Resources began in 1984. He has held a variety of positions within the company, including: region manager of the AGL Cumming/North Fulton service area, where he was responsible for daily operations and field services; project manager of AGL’s field service automation project; region engineering and operations manager, and various other engineering positions..
Duvall has served on numerous civic and community boards in the metro Atlanta area including the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Technical College and Atlanta Union Mission. He is a member of the Alpharetta Rotary Club.
A native of Columbia, S.C., Duvall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Clemson University in 1984. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Georgia. Duvall and his family are in the process of relocating from Alpharetta, Georgia to the Norfolk, Virginia area.

On November 30, 2004, the company acquired Virginia Gas in Abington, Virginia and Elkton Gas in Elkton, Maryland; from NUI Corp.
