AGL Resources Names Candy Davis Manager of Elkton Gas; Decade of Experience with the Company July 25, 2005
ELKTON, Md.--July 25, 2005--Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE:ATG), parent company of Elkton Gas, today announced the promotion of Candy Davis to the position of manager of Elkton Gas, in Cecil County, Maryland.
"I am pleased to name Candy to the position of manager of Elkton Gas," said Robert Duvall, vice president and general manager of Elkton Gas, Virginia Natural Gas, and Virginia Gas. "Her track record of success and more than a decade of experience with the company will serve us well as we keep our focus on improving customer service and work to grow the business on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
In her new position, Davis will be responsible for the management of Elkton Gas, which serves 6,000 residential and commercial customers. The eight member team she will oversee performs such duties as field operations, customer service and sales and marketing.
Davis joined Elkton Gas as assistant manager in 1994 and rose to office manager before today's promotion to manager. In addition to handling accounting for the company, she has been responsible for sales and marketing, as well as collections.
Prior to joining Elkton Gas, Davis has held positions with Harvey & Harvey, an independent waste handling company, where she was in sales and marketing, and CSX Railroad, where she was a business analyst.
A native of Cecil County, Maryland, Davis earned a bachelor's degree from Goucher College and a master's of business administration from Loyola College in Baltimore.
AGL Resources, an energy services holding company, acquired Elkton Gas when it bought NUI Corp. in November 2004.
