Elkton Gas Company provides natural gas distribution service to approximately 7,000 residential and commercial customers in Cecil County, Maryland, contiguous to our existing franchise territory in Cecil County. Elkton Gas Company provides an operational platform in Cecil County including personnel, a contractor pool and an operations center, which has allowed us to expand our operations more efficiently in Cecil County. Plus, Elkton Gas Company’s proximity to the 1-95 corridor and new interchange — which is expected to increase commercial, industrial and residential construction — provides additional growth opportunities and access to upstream capacity resources.
